Another Jesus, Another Spirit, and Salvation Without Repentance

This chapter examines the doctrinal offspring of a God reconstructed according to the spirit of the age: another Jesus, another spirit, and a salvation that promises relief without repentance. Building upon the preceding chapters' analysis of autonomous authority, contested truth, naturalistic exclusion of the Creator, the sovereign self, therapeutic salvation, and modern idolatry, it argues that counterfeit Christianity often preserves biblical names while changing their referents. Jesus is reduced to moral teacher, therapist, political activist, prosperity provider, national mascot, universal religious symbol, or digitally simulated companion. The Holy Spirit is confused with atmosphere, emotional intensity, intuition, impersonal energy, spectacle, political passion, or contradictory private revelation. Sin becomes dysfunction, ignorance, exclusion, trauma, or unrealised potential, while salvation becomes self-acceptance, wellness, liberation, education, inclusion, success, or technological progress. Through sustained exegesis of John 1:1-18, Acts 4:8-12, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15, Galatians 1:6-10, 1 John 4:1-6, and related passages, the chapter presents Jesus Christ as the eternal Word, incarnate Son, Creator, Lamb, High Priest, risen Lord, reigning King, Judge, and only Mediator. It presents the Holy Spirit as the divine Person who glorifies Christ, inspires and illumines Scripture, convicts, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, empowers witness, distributes gifts, and produces holy fruit. Historical Christological errors, modern objections to substitutionary atonement and exclusive salvation, contemporary spiritual manifestations, political and therapeutic gospels, and emerging artificial-intelligence representations of Jesus are examined fairly and critically. The chapter concludes with an eleven-part framework for testing teachers, spirits, gospels, prophecies, miracles, and ministries, followed by differentiated pastoral appeals and an urgent summons to repentance, holiness, perseverance, and readiness for Christ's return.
